There are quite a few props were used in Timbender.  The props used in the film include: a cell phone, a newspaper, an empty carton of milk, silverware, a bottle of wine, a can of beer,m guns, a necklace etc.   The two most important props in the film are the money props, and the physical objects that were used to represent the time travel devices.

The Money Prop is paramount to the story.  There are many scenes in the film where the money prop is used; greed and its deleterious effects on the human person especially their psychological well being is a theme that is explored through out the film. Early on, greed was a paramount theme to the story. Its was important that money prop look great.

 Time Travel Devices

The first time travel device was designed by scientist Edward James in 2149; it was bulky and cubed shaped in size. The device came on the market on January first 2150 for consumer use. The year prior, ten expeditions into the past were launched.  A select group of federal North American law enforcement agents and a handful of the best scientific minds in the word joined James on all the missions.

Two years after these first missions, all of the people involved started experiencing strange symptoms. It was later determined that the symptoms were connected to their contact and use of the to be caused by their having traveled back in time using the first time device.  The first generation device caused psychological changes within the minds of its users.  For a list of the symptons please click here.

By late 2157, Dr. James went to work on the next generation time travel device.  The new device would be smaller, and would not have any attached symptoms.  Numerous studies showed no adverse health effects connected to the new device; experts speculated that the reason why was because this new time device did not rip a whole in the space time continuum like the first device.  The new device opened a door to the non physical universe, where linear time does not exist, and allowed the traveler to access all points in time.

Below are a couple of pictures of the physical object known as the Device. The scenes with the device are not one hundred percent visual effects.  In terms of the the both the first and second generation time devices,  we used a real physical object, and then visual effects were added latter.

 The New Time Travel Device

Half through principle photography, it was decided that another device needed to be written into the story. The sole reason for writing another device into the story was pure aesthetic.  This necklace is more appealing to look at then the large cubed shaped device. The decision to use this particular necklace came about one night when I happened to visit the Don Muller Gallery in Northampton Massachusetts.

At that moment, the gallery was showing the latest jewelry by famed London based jeweler Stephen Webster.  Webster jewelry is worn by some of the biggest celebrities in the world.  Jackie Fabian, who plays Carly Stevens in the film is modeling the Stephen Webster necklace.
